Morgan Ridge wins NC Wine Growers Award!

tl_files/vineyard/images/winegrowersaward.jpgGOLD HILL - Amie and Tommy Baudoin of Morgan Ridge Vineyards in Gold Hill have won the 2012 Wine Growers of Excellence Award, given at the N.C. Winegrowers Association Conference held last week in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  This prestigious award is given in recognition for their leadership and dedication to the production of quality wine grapes.  This isn't the only award presented recently to Morgan Ridge!  Their 2010 cabernet sauvignon won a gold medal at the Mid-Atlantic Southeastern Wine Competition, held at the Dixie Classic Fair (one of only three golds for cabernet sauvignon out of hundreds of entries).  This same cabernet sauvignon won a double gold at the NC State Fair.  Also at the NC State Fair, their syrah won a double gold, the merlot won a gold, and their chambourcin won a silver.
